Suffolk is constructing a new central utility plant at the south end of Dallas/Fort Worth International Airport.
The new eCUP facility will replace DFW's aging steam piping distribution system with a highly efficient hot water piping system. The transition to zero-emission electricity for heating will significantly reduce ozone precursor emissions, carbon emissions, water use, and natural gas consumption in alignment with DFW's Net Zero Carbon by 2030 target.
This central utility plant will accommodate future terminal expansion up to 28 gates. The facility will deliver 10,000 tons of cooling, including four chillers, four boilers and four small independent boilers.
