The Benjamin Russell Hospital for Children, a replacement hospital for Children鈥檚 of Alabama in Birmingham.聽This 762,000-square-foot facility consists of 380 patient rooms and beds, complete diagnostic and treatment services, a central utility plant, pedestrian bridges and an emergency department.聽But here鈥檚 what made the biggest impression on me during this project: COA鈥檚 wonderful administration and staff and the hope and healing they provided. To have played a part in making the mission and vision of COA come to life and to know that I had a small role in helping provide this caring environment for children is a feeling that is hard to put into words.
Sector Experience
I have been in the industry for 31 years. I have worked extensively in health care, leading more than $2 billion in completed projects. I also have experience in industrial, life sciences, higher education, commercial, mixed use commercial and residential, and gaming and entertainment sectors.
What is the most exciting thing about working in this business? What is your professional passion?
I enjoy being part of a team that bonds together to create spaces that make the cities and communities we live in better. My professional passion is helping the people who work beside me find purpose and achieve their personal and professional goals, allowing them to provide for their families and realize the American Dream.
