Built in 1931, Waldorf Astoria New York is a historic, global icon, and the renovation and repositioning of this property seeks to restore the hotel to its former Art Deco opulence with luxurious finishes and spaces that capitalize on its dynamic views of the city.
Suffolk has been awarded all three phases of this project.
The Residential fit-out includes 375 luxury condominium units and 50,000 SF exclusively dedicated to amenities including a grand salon and lounge, private dining facility, wine cellar, pool, game room, winter garden, board room, library, and fitness facility. The Waldorf Astoria project team is thrilled to be a part of this challenging endeavor to restore New York鈥檚 unofficial palace to its classic yet contemporary grandeur.
After demonstrating our innovative approach to construction management on the first two phases, the infrastructure and residences, Suffolk was awarded the hotel portion of Waldorf Astoria New York鈥檚 master plan renovation. The hotel will include 377 keys and a dedicated amenities floor. The rooms will be fit-out with ultra luxury FF&E, and there will be upscale dining as part of the hospitality program.
Suffolk is leveraging technology, including laser scanning and our innovative use of BIM, to deliver all three phases of this high-end finish, historic renovation.
