Suffolk implemented a design/assist process with concrete, glass, piles, cabinetry, MEP, and elevator trade partners in an effort to successfully identify and address challenges that could have otherwise resulted in RFIs. As part of the process, a working session was held with the owner’s team, architect, engineers, design/assist trade partners and Suffolk. The session began with each stakeholder identifying the ‘conditions of satisfaction’ that they believed would lead to a successful project. Complex scope items were then discussed amongst the stakeholders, and valuable feedback was collected from the trade partners. This process was especially important for the glass and glazing of the job, as this type of glazing is unique to this project and the area.
