The 6th and San Julian project will rise at the northeast corner of the intersection.
A three-story light industrial building - best known as the site of the 鈥淪kid Row City Limits鈥 mural - will be demolished and replaced with a new six-story affordable housing structure. The building will feature 94 residential units priced for low- and very-low-income households and 1,800 square feet of ground-floor commercial uses. Other project components include a 13-car subterranean parking lot, a community room, a landscaped outdoor courtyard, on-site supportive services provided by The People Concern, and plenty of bicycle parking. Done in conjunction with the Los Angeles HHH Project Labor Agreement, construction is scheduled to be complete in just 14 months. The project will utilize modular construction.
